Recently I went on a trip to Japan and was amazed to see the beautiful gardens they had there. Here is an example I found:

Now my question is:
Is it possible to grow a garden like that here? (I live in Kentucky)
And if so, how would I go about it?

Of course I don't want anything as grandeouse as the picture, but a small start would be nice as well. My other option is making a smaller, Zen garden. If anyone could help at all, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Well, I have a friend who does those bonsai trees for a living, and they really are to keep green and healthy! I would suggest grabbing all literature on the subject that you can.
