There are many types of leathers, finishes, and dyes used to make leather upholstery. It is always best to follow manufacturer's care instructions. Leather cleaning is best left to professionals. DIY leather cleaning tends to produce less than satisfactory results. Avoid the use of waxes, oils, or solvents. Occasional wiping with damp cloth and then wiping dry is usually all that is needed.
