Bleaching stains out, can it be done?

I've two cotton shirts with curry stains on.

I've tried bleaching them, but they just come up lighter, with the curry
stains lighter.

I've tried lemon juice and stain remover on the curry stains, but no luck.


If I bleach them again I don't think the stains will go away.


Any suggestions?

Curry stains can be very difficult and sometimes impossible to remove. An enzyme digester cleaner can be used for soaking the stains. Or, you can soak in powdered enzyme detergent like Biz. The trick to using enzymes is to give them time to work. If enzymes do not remove the stain, soak in all-fabric bleach. Always read and follow fabric care label for laundry instructions and test for colorfastness before bleaching.
