Called the Pipistrello (Italian for "bat") this lamp resembles that
winged creature of the night! by Martinelli Luce, designed by Gae
Aulenti. Made in Italy. Pipistrello lamp was designed for the Olivetti
showroom in Paris in 1964. In 1966 it went into production, and it is
still in production today. if you happen to find one in the US though,
be quick because they tend to sell quickly. THE perfect compliment to
contemporary interior design!
It is made of Stainless Steel, the white metacrylate diffusor can be
moved up and down.It has enchanting diffused light, adjustable height
with telescopic movement, diffuser of white opal methacrylate,
stainless steel telescope, lacquered base and knob in dark brown (looks
black). Diam.:55 cm x H:66-86 cm (Diam.20 x H:28")
