Hi,
I can't get a window cleaner and I don't fancy climbing up ladders, so does
anyone know if those sponge on a long pole things are any good for cleaning
the outside of windows? Or is there a better way?
Thanks,
Derek

Derek,
Windex has a product (I forget the name) that you can attach to a garden
hose, to clean windows. I haven't used it, so I can't give a recommendation,
sorry, but I've seen commercials for it.. hth..

I LIKE THE OUTSIDE WINDEX. IT HOOKS RIGHT TO YOUR HOSE. I USE IT ALL THE
TIME. WYLLADENE

Using a wire hanger with small cloth on the end soaked in windex can get about anywhere you want it to reach. I had to use this when I lived in an apartment that was too high to reach, even with a pole. It helps if you are able to take one of the windows completely out for the cleaning. You can use a regular Wal Mart yellow sponge mops st the end of another pole duct taped to it if you live at a level low enough to reach if you like.
Whether you use the hanger or mop, make a second pass with dry newspaper to remove the cleaner. It may not be perfect, but it is a lot better than not cleaning them at all.

I didn't like the Windex outside stuff but I use a squeege on a long pole. After I sponge them off I use a squeege on a pole to dry them. That always does a great job.
