Has anyone lived next to, or across the street from garage dwellers?
Unfortunately, they spent all of their time sitting in their garage in the front of their house...its the most bizarre thing you have ever seen in the world! They have 2 lawn chairs around a small card table...and just sit there...all day and almost all night.
They wake up at the crack of dawn, open the garage door, and sit and smoke in their. They eat and read the paper in there...they also entertain friends in there. And its not like the garage is finished or anything, its a typical garage with tools and junk laying around. Its an eye-sort compared to their beautiful house.
But their garage door is open and these BRIGHT lights (that can be seen from space turned) are on from sunrise to sunset (and beyond).
Normally, I would just ignore this bizarre behavior, but lately they have been playing a radio really loud in their garage. And, just my luck, the way our houses are arranged, my bedroom window is 10 feet from their garage. So I get woken up every single morning at the crack of dawn to their radio. I hear everything they say in there, and can even smell the smoke through my windows when they are really stoking it up in there.
The reverse is also true (I'm sure). When I'm in bed with my girlfriend and they are sitting outside, I'm sure they hear things they should not be hearing. They are so damn annoying.
I've considered speaking to them about it...but I don't want to create an awkward situation, and feel weird everytime I come and go. When I leave my house...they are sitting there and wave. When I come home...they are sitting there and wave. They see all in the neighborhood.
This is so bizarre...even in the cold weather they sit outside in the frigid mornings with a heater. But the garage door is open and there they sit....with an entire mansion (practically) wasted. I don't think they use there actual house for anything else but sleeping.
I've spoken to other neighbors, and they all feel the same way, i.e. that these garage dwellers are just nosey-busy-bodies, and want to sit in the garage so they can see everything that goes on in the neighrbood...which isn't much because its usually pretty quiet here...except for their annoying radio blaring at the crack of dawn every morning!
Has anyone else suffered from this? Any suggestions on how to respectfully tell Mr. and Mrs. Annoyington about their bizarre habits?
