Hello everyone!
I need some suggestions on a home that is on the real estate market that I have been hired to decorate. I need some suggestions on what I can do in the situation that I am in, this home is horrible enough to be condemned & The owners specifically requested that I do not paint the walls or add window converings I have tried to convince them to let me, but unfortunetly I am not that much of an persuasive individual. So, currently the the only decor I can add would be furniture, candles, paintings, rugs, ect I know this house needs to be lit up when it comes to the colours considering the walls are all dark colours, blood red - black also the paint on the walls is chipping so I am afraid I am in a bit of a sticky situation. Please post some suggestions as to what I could do to brighten the place up a bit, I think it helps that they don't want window coverings for natural light purposes to help brighten up, but I wanted to add window coverings to try & Distract from the paint chips in the walls.

Hi there!

If you can't paint walls, You can hang things on them like pictures, fans, etc...

For the tables you can put light table runners or table clothes.

For the floor you can put light rugs as well.

I have a store where I sell silk stuff only for your home decoration, furnishing, clothing accessories, etc... Please have a look, low prices including shipping to the usa, canada, australia, new zealand, japan, hong kong.

Thank you for the suggestion, I added a wall fountain & It turned out wonferfully! Also, I added some paintings aswell so it all matched & Turned out the wall fountain matched so well it made the chipping in the wall's look intentional. So i'm doing much better now! This weekend I have to start decorating lottery homes in the area, I love doing this job! But, just so you know if you need any suggestions you can ask me aswell :)

Thank's! I already got it all figured out though, I added some vases, wall fountains (all very vintage to match the walls) so it turned out wonderfully. Added some paintings to the wall's aswell considering I couldn't add anything perminent.

I totally disagree with you, but whatever…it’s the way you think and everyone has their own way of going on in life.
