Dumping Grass

Does anyone know where to dump excess grass after a cut? I have been dumping it in the woods lately, but a new state law now forbids it. Any other places where I can freely dump my grass?

My suggestion would be to start a compost pile. What state do you live in, because I've never heard of a law that bans dumping grass in the woods.

What my dad does with his clippings is he composts some of it, leaves some on the grass to help it grow and garbage the rest of it. Not much you can do if state law forbids you from dumping it.
