No matter how well your automobiles are maintained, an occasional oil drip is inevitable. Unfortunately, the stain usually remains long after the leak has been repaired. To solve this problem use ordinary cat litter over the spill area and grind it into the oil with a brick or block by rubbing in a circular motion. As you crush the cat litter pellets you create more surfaces to absorb the oil and the circular movement ensures that dry litter is constantly coming in contact with the oil. After the litter sits for a while sweep it up along with the stain.

I'm pretty sure I knew this, but I kinda forgot, thanks.

I've always wondered why firetrucks allways carry cat litter and sprinkle it on the ground after a wreck.

Great post! I knew about the cat litter, but I didn't know that it worked much better by grinding it up....makes perfect sense. Thanks for that!
