View Full Version : wallpaper directly on sheet rock?
I want to "wallpaper" maps onto the garage walls, which are bare sheet rock.
Do I have to treat the sheet rock first? Would I put them up with regular
wallpaper paste? I am talking about regular highway road maps. Thanks!

Putting the wallpaper directly on the sheet rock will make it almost
impossible to remove later and actually make the hangin job more difficult.
Do it right by priming the areas that you'll paper and then using a wall
size to treat the wall before you put the paper on the wall.

I am looking at a situation such as you describe - the wallpaper appears to
have been put right on the sheetrock or, at best, was thoroughly sized and
is being a royal pain to remove. Does anyone have any suggestions on how
best to remove tenacious wallpaper ? Thanks!
