I'm guessing that you have brown wood paneling on your entryway walls.
Easiest and best bet- wash the paneling with TSP(TriSodium phosphate)-
available in the paint section at stores like Kmart or Sears or at Sherwin
Williams paint store for about $3.00 a box. Then rinse. This will prepare
the paneling for painting. Paint the paneling a creamy off white. The area
will look bright, clean and fresh! S

Hold it!
TSP it, and then get a primer sealer like BIN or Zinzer or Benjamin Moore
Fresh Start, paint that on
and then paint it a nice cream or whatever. Without the sealer, the paint
just won't stick! Learned that the hard way! LOL

Painted paneling has a really nice country look. another thing you can do is
spackle out the lines between the "boards"
then sand, then primer sealer then paint. That way it will be a nice smooth
surface.

Ps Before you put your home on the market, pack up all your knicknacks and
family photos. Buyers get all distracted looking at these belongings and
forget to look at the "bones" of your home.
