I live in a condo on the second floor of a 122 year old home.
Decorating has been a chore since none of the rooms are the standard
rectangular configuration. The two largest rooms (we use them as a
bedroom and a living room) have six walls with windows taking up two,
a non-functional fireplace on one, a closet on another, and doors
leading to other rooms on another. Plus, I'm trying to fit a 5' grand
piano into the living room. It's livable the way we have it now, but
I'm not really satisfied.
I would never ask for suggestions since I can't show a picture of our
rooms, but I was wondering if someone could recommend a few resources
that show creative ways to arrange oddly shaped rooms.
Thanks,
joseph
use moveable walls perhaps, those japanese style partitions or some other
moveable wall contraption

did you check out www.hgtv.com ?
they usually have some great ideas..and you don't have to place furniture up
against the walls..
seem to remember a couple of shows they had where they had to do exactly
what you are trying to do..and they made several groupings of furniture..one
around the piano..and another sitting area..all out in the middle of the
room..it was kind of cool..<g>
