who cares
06-06-2005, 11:19 AM
I ordered the TV console which has a cherry wood finish:
http://www.furnitureshoppers.com/noha50inpltv.html.
I'm now searching for a coffee table that has storage and fits with our new
sectional leather sofa:
http://www.havertys.com/web/homepage.nsf/mainframe
I would like a table that has storage. I'm looking at the square Baha table
here:
http://www.furnitureshoppers.com/bahoctab1.html
Even though the wood finish of the Baha table is different than the TV
console - do you think the style matches close enough to have it in the same
room. Is it a mistake to mix/match wood finishes.
Also, do you think a rectangular table with the long side facing the short
end of the sectional would look odd?
Thanks!

This link doesn't take you to the product page but it is the Havertys'
"Hawthorne" sectional sofa under the "Leather Sofas" link

I'm inclined to buy things that I like and I like things better
when they don't match, actually. I wouldn't mix retro furniture
with traditional, but I would say almost anything else goes.
Keep in mind that the forest mixes and matches wood finishes. :-)

You'll know when you see it. I love a bed that's pulled away
from a wall or kitty corner...many people wouldn't like that.
It's your home. You have to live in it. Buy what you like and
what pleases you. That's only my opinion, of course.
