View Full Version : HELP Tan couches in a Grey/Black apartment
I live in an apartment and the walls are grey and so is my rug. My
entertainment centre is black and my dining table is black and grey/silver.
I have red accents in the living room like cushions and the side tables.
The problem is... I bought a used Caramel tan coloured leather couch,
because they were selling it for a great deal and I needed a couch badly. So
I bought them (sofa and chair) now I dislike them very much. It doesn't
match with anything! I called a leather dyeing company but they wanted to
charge me $1500 to dye both pieces. I refuse to pay that much for re-dyeing
used couches. So...how can I make these couches work in my grey/black
apartment.
HELP!

I would suggest replacing some of your red accents. I would use
black/silver, maybe leopard print pillows on your couch and
chairs. Paint your end tables, if possible. I'd try to tie in
all colors with some art work and on the center piece of your
dining table. A little touch of red here and there would work,
okay. How about your floors? If they are wood, you could tie
everything in with a caramel, black, silver, etc. area rug.

Thank you for your advice!
Ok a Leopard print hmmm (never thought of that) I'm not a leopard type
person but I think I can work with that.
I can go to Ikea and buy some coloured end tables, what colour would you
recommend? My floors are hard wood not light and not dark in the middle, so
yes my floors do blend in with the couches.
