We bought a new living room set.
I am considering to protect couch and loveseat. Our cat starts to scratch
side of couch already.
My major concern is how to protect fabrics. Scotchguard would protect them
but Home Depot does not carry Scotchguard.

I am wondering what do you use/recommend to protect your couch for spilling
your soft drink.

just about any grocery store or Walmart / K-Mart will carry it. i'm
surprised Home Depot doesn't.

one thing to be concerned about though, be real careful applying it.
depending on the type of fabric and color, it *can* discolor... you better
test a spot first if you can. it is highly unlikely that it will discolor,
i'm just saying that it can... also, be careful not to let the spray go up
your nose, it can damage your lungs permanantly! open windows / be sure you
have good ventilation etc... it is better to put a couple of light to
medium coats on it rather than one heavy one. dont let anyone sit on it for
24 hrs ( give it time to cure )... if it works and it remains clean, i'd
re-apply it about every 4 months if it is being used much.
