Stainless Steel

I'd like to know if there is a cheaper way than buying commercial SS
cleaner.
My stove top is stainless and I leave marks after cleaning. I've tried Mr
Muscle
and Metho and neither does the trick. Is there something I can make up?

Baking soda does nicely on my stainless steel sink.
