Socal Analysis Reports
Faster More Flexible Printing

September 2003 Newsletter
As usual the actual newsletter with graphics is at my web site SBTBILL.COM.
You may also request a mailed copy.

The Socal Analysis reports allow you to spot trends. Because of this you can
take advantage of opportunities and detect problems before it is to late. The
reports include, new tickets per month, new accounts per month, average ticket
per month, sales per month and estimated future cash flow. The Vision Point
Business Status Report, ACCPAC and Peachtree Status reports provide somewhat
similar information.

These analysis reports provide the business owner with a number of ways to head
off problems and improve profit. They are a significant way of changing an
accounting program from a cost to a profit center.

Printing Documents

Both Windows 98 and XP provide a number of tools to help you print a document
the way you wish. Many of these start in the Page Setup area. Many things in
addition to printers can be used as print sources. One very common printer is
WinFax and other faxing programs. This allows you to send an invoice directly
to a computer fax. Another way to set up a printer is through the Control
Panel. The printer's icon brings up not only a list of available printers but
also lets you set the default printer and check waiting print jobs.

The method of printing may be changed. Starting printing immediately vs. after
the last page has spooled can have a significant impact on speed and
availability as the computer may have to wait for a document to report back as
printed before it can move on to other tasks. Separator Page lets you put in a
header page with report ownership on it. This can be useful in multi-user
networks.

In addition to this months newsletter the web site includes a new write up on
Cougar Mountain Link/Interface codes.
