When my dog has accidents on the bed and on the carpet I find the best thing
to use is hydrogen peroxide. It kills the odor and removes the stain!

The pet stores here sell something called Nature's Miracle that works well.
If it's a fresh stain, club soda is supposed to neutralize it.

Animals have a sense of smell that far exceeds ours. I would not assume that
ANY home remedy will eliminate the odor. Just because you can't smell it
means little. I would use either Natures Miracle or one of similar product
on the market.

Yes it will. What to you think people bleach hair with?

you are confusing hydrogen peroxide with peroxide. peroxide is for bleaching
hair, hydrogen peroxide is what you use to clean wounds etc, it is almost
always safe on carpet.
