Hmm.... one capful adequately cleans all our laundry. Even the
horribly dirty work clothes hubby used to come home in.
And, I use only cold water.

I think it all depends on how dirty your clothes are, how hard your water
is, and how good your washer is. My clothes seldom get very dirty and I
have a newer washer and a water softener. I see absolutely no difference in
cleaning ability from brand to brand. I use cold water for all but the
dirtiest clothes, so I like to use liquid detergent because powders don't do
as well for me in cold water.

Our clothes don't get very dirty, but with purex I noticed that stains
didn't come out completely. Even those treated with stain removers left
behind a 'shadow'. I ended up having to rewash a lot up things.

Yes, please do. At that price I'd like to try it!

I think I've tried most every laundry detergent on the market before, and I
always keep coming back to Tide. My personal preference is the Tide w/
Bleach Alternative liquid.

I have a water softener and only use a fraction of whatever detergent - because
it would be impossible to get out all the soap. I've been using Purex and have
had no problems - my clothes aren't very dirty though. I use white vinegar in
the rinse aid cup.

I thought you said, "Purex liquid fills my Vista." I have a Dodge Colt,
too, so I poured some Purex in the tank as a detergent additive. Now it
won't run.

My sister says you know I suffer from Presumptive Dyslexia and posted
that message to fool me. If you will please post an apology to the
group for our misunderstanding, that will prove to her that you didn't
mean it.
