I've got a pretty strong odor coming from my garbage disposal. I've tried
putting a lemon and ice cubes in and running it with no water but that did
not help. Are there any more recomendations out there. Thanks, Bob

Put a cup of baking soda into the disposal. Then pour in a cup of
warm vinegar (you'll see a vigorous reaction). Allow this to rest for
a couple hours, then flush with a gallon of hot water.

Consider making a compost pile.

Some disposers have a rubber "collar" which can easily be removed and
scrubbed with plain dishwashing detergent. If it still smells, then soak
it in hot water & baking soda. I also hate to mention it, but if it
smells *that* bad, you can replace the collar very inexpensively.

I recently used a commercial foaming bleach product called Spring Again
Garbage Disposal Cleaner and it did the trick. Of course I don't how
bad my odor was relative to yours, but it might be worth a shot. I
found it at Wal-Mart.
