It seems as if repairing/replacing my driveway will set me back around two thousand dollars. Is this a worthy investment, or should I just leave it be?

I realy can't tell you much. If the crack or cracks are realy bad, then I guess you should replace it. It they are small cracks that are hardly or very little noticable, I would tell you not to replace it.
Also, you might want to use less salt on that effected area because the salt will break the driveway.

I agree with what Xtream said, I mean think about it. If your car got say, a flat tire from a pothole in your driveway, then thats money gone down right there. Plus, it will increase your propertys worth.

You should really be a bit more specific about how damaged your driveway is. Like the previous posters have said, it is bad enough that it is harming your tires and such, then $2,000 is definitely worth it. Tiny cracks are not worth your time or money, though.

Unless there are some giant holes, or you feel like blowing some money, ignore it. The only reason I can see to do it is if you want your house to look pretty..

You are going to have to give us more information when you are asking a question of this type. I would have to guess though that with an estimate of 2,000 worth or work that it must be torn up very badly. Unless that doesnt bug you, I would personally want my drive to look and be nice.

I personally think that repairing your driveway should be an investment if you plan on selling your property anytime soon. If you own your own property (which I'm sure you do), I'm sure there are numerous other areas you could invest that money into that would be, not only more satisfying, but also more economical for yourself.

I think you shoud only repair your drive if you want to boost the value of your house if you intend to sell it. If you don't want to sell your house, why bother?!
