i notice that houses can now be bought and sold on ebay, however im very suspicious of buying things online. i once paid for a toaster on an internet site and it never arrived.

can their system be trusted do you think?

It seems that ebay can be trusted more and more each day, well at least thats what i think. I buy a lot of items on there and never have much trouble. I dont know if i would buy a house on it though..

I think that this could be trusted for many different reasons. For one, when you buy it, you are not just going to drop a check in the mail. You are going to go see the house, talk with the owner, and take a look at everything. Ebay also protects you from fruad and other activities of that type. I would think that it would be a very safe, and for some people and very easy way to find a new home. Hopfully someday someone on the forums will be able to tell us about there experience with buying a home over ebay.

Ebay is a respectable company, it is the sellers/buyers US that can be shoddy. If you are buying just make sure you read EVERYthing in detail and then read it 99 more times or even if you are that serious get laywer to look over the dea.

I love ebay and have shopped from there for years. They are pretty well known and safe. But before you buy from any seller on ebay, you should really be checking out the seller's profile and feedback. This will give you a sense of what they are all about and how other previous buyers feel about them.
