There is a really simple way stop your mirror from fogging up after a shower. This sounds stupid at first, but smear shaving cream on it. After you wipe it all off it will be clean, but won't fog up for a few weeks.

Note: I've tried shaving gel and it only works for a day or two unlike actual cream.

Haha, I too tried that once. It worked for about 2 weeks. I usually don't shower in hot water so my mirror doesn't fog up usually.

One idea is to use Rain-x, The anti-fog juice for your car's windshield, Rain-X, works wonderfully in keeping bathroom mirrors unfogged.

Here is how to do the shaving cream idea.

1. Apply a thin layer of shaving cream or liquid soap to the mirror with a lint-free cloth. The cream or soap will form a thin film that will prevent fogging.

2. Buff in the cream or liquid soap until it is evenly and thinly applied. A slight film will be visible, but it should dissipate after a few hot showers.

3. Leave the cream or soap on the mirror--do not wash it off with water. You'll find that your mirror no longer fogs up after a hot shower.

4. Reapply the shaving cream or liquid soap after a week or two when the mirror begins to fog up again. Wash the mirror with glass cleaner between applications to avoid a buildup of film.

Overall Tips:
Because a small film is left on the mirror, you might want to try this method only on the portion of the mirror that you use to shave or apply makeup.
