How do i clean Pepsi off carpet?

Now me and my friend were over at his house drinking, and he drops his pepsi can onto the carpet when he dozed off. When he got up, it was sort of dried up and nothing works on it. We tried the carpet cleaner and everything. What should he do?

I have never tried this, but this is what I read and i would say it is worth a shot.

How to Remove Soft Drink Stains from Carpet:

With 1 cup lukewarm water, mix 1 teaspoon liquid dishwashing detergent. Add 1 tablespoon of ammonia to 1/2 cup of water.

Apply to the affected areas, and gently work it in. Remove excess with clean cloth.

NOTE: Always test in an inconspicuous area before applying in large areas.

I just tried it with my friend, and it worked in the lightly affected areas, but the heavy spots are still there. Thanks for the help.

More heavily stained areas will require repeat applications of the cleaning solution. If in doubt, call a professional.
