Good vaccum cleaner

For quite a while we have had shoddy vaccum cleaner afte shoddy vacuum cleaner and we are looking to buy a higher quality sturdy long lasting one. Can anyone help me out?

Dyson. One of my friend's mom just got one, and she loves it. I have heard a lot of people diss it, but i think it's quite good. It's expensive, but worth it.

The vacuume cleaner that I have is by a company called "Miel". It's very good, when I got it I discovered my floor was a diffrent color then I originally thought.
