Become more informed about local, national and worldwide conservation issues.
Become a NC Zoo Volunteer and help educate visitors about conservation issues. Use your buying power as a consumer to support conservation-minded companies, such as those that use recycled materials in their products and packaging. Support a non-governmental organization (NGO) that works to save wildlife and wild places, such as Conservation International (CI), World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC) Let your state and federal government officials know how you feel about a particular issue and what action should be taken. Use this link to find out who represents you at the state and federal levels: http://www.govspot.com |

Even more important are the things that each person can do. The little things, like making sure your plumbing isn't leaky, or turning off the lights when you leave a room...
