Default Water spots on windows

What's the best product to get water spots off (from sprinkler system). I've
tried ammonia, windex, vinegar - nothing seems to work. Thanks.

I know what gets spots off my car windshield besides getting my bathroom
mirror very clean. It's 4 parts water, 1 part ammonia, 1/2 part
vinegar.

If the glass is very dirty, first I clean it another way and leave it
pretty dry. Then I sprinkle a little of the above mixture on crumpled
newspaper so that the paper has dry areas and damp spots. Then I polish
the glass with the newspaper until the glass is dry. The mixture makes
the paper grab any film and spots.

Before I found this trick, buffing with Bon Ami or windshield rubbing
compound was the only way I knew to get those spots off my windshield.

I use humidifier cleaner and a little water-use glovews. You may have to
use a little (I use nylon netting) rough surface item to get off all the
spots.

Then put on Rain-X. That will help this problem no to happen again!!

Here in the midwest it gets very dry in the winter and many of us have
humidifiers--some are attached to their furnace but there are also portable
ones--go to a Hardware store and ask for "Humidifier" cleaner. This cleaner
cleans the "scum" that collects in the humidifier because of the water.

Hope this helps!!

Thanks - I saw some at Walgreens the other day. Do you use it straight out of
the bottle or dilute it?
