Here's a start: put childproof locks on the cupboards that hold cleaning
products.

Could increase the number of children with guns!

Y'know, if you Google "More children under four die of accidental poisonings
at home" -- you'll come up with a bunch of MLM-type businesses peddling
supposedly eco-friendly products that use this language.

You won't come up with any links to the National Safety Council with any
hard facts or statistics.

Here are some interesting points on the subject:
a.. Carbon monoxide (CO) results in more fatal unintentional poisonings in
the United States than any other agent, with the highest number occurring
during the winter months (CDC 1999).
a.. Childhood lead poisoning is considered one of the most preventable
environmental diseases of young children yet approximately one million
children have elevated blood levels (CDC 2001).
a.. The most common poison exposures for children were ingestion of
household products such as cosmetics and personal care products, cleaning
substances, pain relievers, foreign bodies, and plants (Litovitz 2001).

You obviously did not bother to visit our website...since the home page
contains a direct quote from the National Safety Council. "More children
under four die of accidental poisonings at home than are accidentally killed
with guns at home." (Accident Facts...National Safety Council,1993)

The site also has a links page that refers interested people to a number of
official sources regarding the danger of toxic products. Please try to be
more informed before you use such a broad brush in your posts...
