Default cleaning shoes

i have a pair of shoes i bought last year for my son ( who
has since out grown them ). i am giving them away to another kid i know (
for free ... yeah i paid like $90.00 for them... live and learn lol ). these
shoes have only been used 3 times ( Merrill - Vibram hiking / trail running

Remove the laces and any sole insert. Put all parts in the washer,
using warm water and a few other items for better agitation. Dry in
the sun.
